Course Description

Admission criteria: Students are recommended to have completed 3rd grade and be ready to enroll in 4th grade at a regular school. The student must also have completed Juz Amma(Sifara) class or possess equivalent knowledge from any other Maktab.

Main Goal: Mastering the reading of Qur’an, building a strong foundation in Tajweed, gaining basic Islamic knowledge, practicing daily prayers, and developing good character

Course Syllabus

  • Quran: Completed Nazera with proper Tajweed by reciting Juz 2 to Juz 29 with a teacher. Then recited the entire Quran a second time under the teacher's supervision.
  • Tajweed: Strengthen fluency of Tajweed in reading the Quran. Memorizing and applying Tajweed rules, using Tajweed book: Tajweed for beginners written by Qari Ismail (Rahimahullah).
  • Qur’an Memorization: Surah Nas to Surah Fajar, Sura Fatiha & some selected Qirat like Ayatul Qursi etc.
  • Aqeedah (Basic Beliefs): Learn (Review) 6 Kalimas with meanings and Imane Mujmal & Mufassal.
  • Basic Masnoon Duas: Memorizing daily prayers dua, before eating, after eating, before sleeping, entering/leaving the home etc. Entire book of the Masnoon Duas.
  • Hadith: Students will memorize a total of 40 Hadith with meaning : 30 previously memorized in earlier classes and 10 new selected from the book Jad-al-Talibin.
  • Basic Islamic History: Notable Muslim commanders & scholars (e.g., Khalid ibn Walid, Abdullah ibn Mas’ud, Osman Gazi, Imam Al- Gazzali, Shah Oliullah Dehlowi, Kasim Nathwee etc.) & stories of important events: Badr, Uhud, Hudaybiyyah etc.
  • Islamic Manners & Daily Life Skills: Understand basics of namaz & others (Fardh, Wajib, Sunnat, Nafal, Nullifiers & Makruhath).
  • Salah (Prayer) Basics: Learn the correct method of performing daily prayers, Salatul Witir, Salatul Juma, Salatul Eid, & Salatul Janaza and all others Salawath.
