Admission criteria: The student must be enrolled in Pre-K or Kindergarten in a regular school or have begun speaking clearly. Main Goal: To introduce young children to the basics of Islam, the Qur'an, and build love for the religion in a fun, engaging way.

Teaching Method:

 ➡️Note: We introduced Pre-Maktab class alongside the ongoing general Maktab classes in our community to identify students who show a natural ability to become Hafiz in the future. This allows us to begin working with them early and guide their parents—if they wish for their child to pursue Hifz—on the right path. As a result, the child can complete their Hifz journey more efficiently, without unnecessary delays. 

Admission criteria: Students are recommended to have completed kindergarten and be ready to enroll in 1st grade at a regular school. They may also have optionally completed Pre-Maktab or possess equivalent knowledge from any other Maktab.

Main Goal: Learning & mastering the correct spelling of Qur’anic phrases, building a strong foundation in Tajweed, gaining basic Islamic knowledge, practicing daily prayers, and developing good character. 

Admission criteria: Students are recommended to have completed 1st grade and be ready to enroll in 2nd grade at a regular school. They must have completed Qaida class or possess equivalent knowledge from any other Maktab.

Main Goal: Mastering the correct spelling & reading of Qur’anic phrases, building a strong foundation in Tajweed, gaining basic Islamic knowledge, practicing daily prayers, and developing good character. 

Admission criteria: Students are recommended to have completed 2nd grade and be ready to enroll in 3rd grade at a regular school. The student must complete Juz Amma (Sifara) class or possess equivalent knowledge from any other Maktab.

Main Goal:  Mastering the reading of Qur’an, building a strong foundation in Tajweed, gaining basic Islamic knowledge, practicing daily prayers, and developing good character. 

Admission criteria: Students are recommended to have completed 3rd grade and be ready to enroll in 4th grade at a regular school. The student must also have completed Juz Amma(Sifara) class or possess equivalent knowledge from any other Maktab.

Main Goal: Mastering the reading of Qur’an, building a strong foundation in Tajweed, gaining basic Islamic knowledge, practicing daily prayers, and developing good character

Admission Criteria: Students must have completed Advanced Nazera or possess equivalent knowledge from another Maktab. For the Hifz Nazera class, priority will be given to regular school's 4th-grade students who meet the above requirement.

Note: Each Maktab class will be tested every six months, as the syllabus is designed to be completed twice a year. Students who pass will advance to the next level. In this way, an advanced student may complete the Maktab program in 2 to 3 years instead of 4 years. Therefore, it is recommended that students who show a natural ability to become a Hafiz begin the Hifz Nazera program in 4th grade.

Main Goal: Mastering the reading of Qur’an with Tajweed rules and Tone, gaining basic Islamic knowledge, practicing daily prayers, and developing good character. 

Admission Criteria: Students must have completed Hifz Nazera or possess equivalent knowledge from another Hifz Madrasa. For the Pre-Hifz class, priority will be given to the regular school’s 5th-grade students who meet the above requirement. Note: If any student completed Hifz Nazera from other Madrasah they will be tested before enrolling in pre-Hifz. Also, that student is going to the 5th grade at regular school.

Main Goal: Memorizing last 5 Juz with Tajweed rules and Tone, gaining basic Islamic knowledge, practicing daily prayers, and developing good character. 

The curriculum is structured to accommodate each student according to their individual abilities and potential, enabling them to complete memorization of the entire Quran within two years (sixth and seventh grades), followed by one year of comprehensive revision in eighth grade to strengthen retention and mastery. Alongside Quran memorization, the program focuses on developing Islamic character, sincerity, punctuality, and respect for the Quran. 

Students are also introduced to essential Islamic studies, including memorization of selected sayings of the Prophet, daily supplications, and basic Islamic law. Through a structured schedule, individualized attention, and a supportive Islamic environment, Riyadhul-'Ilm Michigan strives to produce students who not only memorize the Quran but live by its teachings, preparing them to pursue advanced Islamic studies, teach Quran memorization, and lead congregational and night prayers, by the permission of Allah.

 ✅The student must be self-motivated and sincerely willing to become a Ḥafiẓ. 
 ✅Must have completed fifth grade in a physical (in-person) school
 ✅Must have a GPA of 3.5 or above. 
 ✅Must have completed Hifz Nazera in 4th grade.
 ✅Must have completed Pre-Hifz, with a minimum of 5 Juz memorized, by the end of 5th grade.
