Course Description

Admission criteria: Students are recommended to have completed kindergarten and be ready to enroll in 1st grade at a regular school. They may also have optionally completed Pre-Maktab or possess equivalent knowledge from any other Maktab.

Main Goal: Learning & mastering the correct spelling of Qur’anic phrases, building a strong foundation in Tajweed, gaining basic Islamic knowledge, practicing daily prayers, and developing good character. 

Course Syllabus

  • Qaida: Complete Qaida (Nadiatul Qur'an) with spelling and fluent reading.
  • Tajweed: Learn and apply basic rules using “Tajweed for Kids & Beginners”.
  • Qur’an Memorization: Memorizing Surah Nas to Surah Fil and surah Fatiha.
  • Aqeedah (Basic Beliefs): Learn the 6 Kalimas with Their Meanings, and Iman-e- Mujmal & Iman -e- Mufassal.
  • Basic Masnoon Duas: Daily prayers duas, before eating, after eating, before sleeping, entering/leaving the home etc. ¼ of the Masnoon Duas book.
  • Hadith: Students will memorize a total of 10 Hadith with meaning : 5 previously memorized in earlier class and 5 new selected from the book Jad-al-Talibin.
  • Basic Islamic History: Know the names of all the Prophets mentioned in the Qur’an. Learn some of their stories, including those of: Muhammad ﷺ, Adam (AS), Nuh (AS), Ibrahim (AS), Musa (AS), Isa (AS), and others.
  • Islamic Manners & Daily Life Skills: Understand basics of Islamic worship (Fard of Wudu, Ghusl, Salah, etc.).
  • Salah (Prayer) Basics: Names of 5 daily prayers and some basic method of 5 times prayers.
